When doing a fact check for another post, I found a check list for Dell's Abyss line of horror fiction. Great. Another list for me to work my way through. Of the 43 titles, just at a quick glance, it appears there are only two still in print.

White-Wolf is discontinuing their World of Darkness line. This amazes me. They've brought their stories to an end, and they're clearing the slate for new projects. That I can understand. But they're liquidating the inventory. As of April 30, they're no longer selling the WoD stuff online, and will cease shipping to retail stores. I'm sure they know what they're doing, but... (shakes head)... I dunno. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. I've seen books go out of print before but never in such a methodical manner. In smokey coffeehouses, there are black clad children wailing and rending their clothes... "But my Rank Five Ahroun... I've worked so hard for the renown. They... they can't. Truly, THIS is the Apocalypse!"

BUT- WW is making a Penny Dreadful novel available on their website. Penny's a perky little gothette with a talent for Magic, and the original Penny short stories are, in my opinion, the highlights of the short story collection Truth until Paradox. The author Kevin Andrew Murphy was one of the first authors I'd communicated with online.

I picked up the Norman Jewsion "Jesus Christ Superstar". I still haven't seen Mel Gibson's The Passion, and if I'm going to watch a crucifixion, I want singing and dancing.
