Why Reagan Was A Good Thing.
Jun. 7th, 2004 02:32 amOk, this is the sort of thing that'll probably make people grumpy, but give me a chance to do the math... but it's one in the morning, and my contacts are out... not as coherent as I wish I could be, here goes:
Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns
There are other's as well, but that's the one the springs to mind in this state I'm in. Half asleep and half blind...
Artistic efforts do not occur in a vacuum. If there were no Reagan, the attitudes and philosophies behind Frank Miller's work would have been vastly different, if at all.
Likewise, Heaven 17's song Fascist Groove Thing.
Hell, the cursor sits there, blinking challenging me to think so more, and I can't. Too late, stupid cracker neighbours woke me up moving in still.
one last thought...
Computer people question: Did Reagan's military growth policies affect the creation of DARPANET at all? There's a scary thought... ARPA/DARPA is where the foundations for the Internet were laid... Reagan as Great-Grandfather of the Net?
I'll bet I'd make a great fascist.
