So if you're lonely,
You know i'm here waiting for you,
I'm just a crosshair,
I'm just a shot away from you
And if you leave here
You leave me broken shattered alive
I'm just a crosshair
I'm just a shot..then we can die

Take me out, by Franz Ferdinand.

Hm. The first 45 seconds are great, the rest of the song? Merely terrific. It's like something I would've gotten drunk to back in college. Whats going on with music? Some sort of reaction to Britany Spears and Justin Timberlake?

So, I'm baby sitting my little nephew and we're watching a CSI dvd, the one from first season where they build a face from a skull. Lowell thinks it looks like fun, but there's nothing we can do... or can we? Thanks to ToysRus, my nephew and I can now reconstruct the face of a corpse from a skull. Check it out
Fun for the whole family.

Ok, my sister doesn't really let me babysit. I think the above scenario explains why.

Tonight mom and dad went with me to a hockey scrimmage for the Admirals at the Scope.
I've been attending the practices the last few days for The Novel. Hockey's much cooler than I could imagine. No, that wasn't a stupid pun.
Hockey is much more elegant than the other team sports I've encountered, the skating primarily. Like basketball or football, there's a lot of going from one half of the playing area to the other. But unlike those ball sports, some of these guys are doing it backwards.
It's also much more of a team sport, there doesn't seem to be much room for ballhogs, scoring a goal means more teamwork.
Not to say there weren't standouts. This fellow impressed me at the practice Tuesday and scored a goal tonight.
Disclaimer: prior to about two months ago, my familarity of hockey was only slightly better than Niles Crane's.

There's an ad for the resturant chain Ruby Tuesdays. Some of the servers are in a band.
Something about the commercial makes me think they've never heard of the Rolling Stones, and aren't familiar with the song. Don't know why. Just a hunch.
