clayhornikCo-workers had to restrain me recently when we had another POD author in- $26.50 for a trade paperback. Title, but not author listed in BIP. Let me say again, $26.50 for a trade paperback. I'm willing to pay that- IF I know the author's work, and I'm sure it's worth it.
Sigh. Sometimes I think, "y'know, first draft seems good enough for these people, and they're on the shelves. no agents to bother with. no rejection. just... put out the cash. and BINGO, you're a published author." Then I think "that's cheating."
(Yes, I know, there are several good POD originals that have gone on to more mainstream publishing. These are exceptions.)

I found Ho-tep today, he'd fallen behind a bookshelf. He's all dusty and cobwebby, but I can't bring myself to clean him off. It works for him. Frank & Gill had a little party to celebrate. Mr Bones and Spooky came, as did Maleficent and Ratigan. Our Dread Lord and Master Cthulhu showed up for a few minutes, but he's not really a party person. Pictures soon.

Insert a rant here about "Labor Day" and the poor smucks like me who have to work. Since I have to work tomorrow, I'll be lazy tonight.
