Spookycon2 - 1
Oct. 30th, 2004 06:31 amI am cleaner now than I have been in a long, long time.
So far, bathing has been the high point of my trip. Uneventful flight, the in-flight movie was Spiderman 2. So I've finally seen it. Didn't hear it, but saw it.
Met Emily Perkins and Brett Sullivan checking in after running into Darren. Saw Bernie Wrightson walking around. Went to a Japanese grocery store with Darren and Christa Faust, picked up some squid. (Note to my Norfolk people: not what it sounds like.)
This squid was the yummiest, moistest squid I've ever had. Chewy, with a slightly vinegary taste.
The suckers were still on the tentacles and you could nibble them off like pomegranet seeds.
Got the same thing for lunch and dinner: a dish of sliced, fried pork, with eggs, over rice. Darren told me the proper name, but I've forgotten.
Picked up a copy of Parasite Eve, but left my shopping list at the hotel. Must go back later to see if I can find Casshern.
Jet lag hit me about ten pm. So, I took the bath to end all baths: first the tub- it's big, big enough for two people to sit comfortabtly... in theory anyway. Whirlpool style. Good hot water, and I added the bath stuff... turned the water green. Soaked in it for a while, letting the jets of water pound my neck and feet like some kind of massage then I used the soap, an exfoliating oatmeal scrub soap. Scrub scrub scrub. I have no idea how many layers of skin I took off. Emptied the tub, and used the moisturising body wash. Wash wash wash.* Stood under a hot shower to clean all that off then used the green tea shampoo. Got my hair cut a couple of days ago, so not too much to wash, and then I conditioned. Even now, my hair feels clean. My skin feels... smooth. Fresh.
I shower every day at home, but I don't usually take the time to deep clean like I did last night.
It was like going to a spa or something.
