"Was reminded of a Charles DeLint short story while surfing the net... there's a reference to a song by Martha & The Muffins called "Echo Beach". I don't understand why... "Danseparc" was much cooler."
--
I understand why DeLint chose the song, it was a perfect reference for the piece- the character worked at a record store and it was perfect for that moment in the story. What I didn't understand was why it was more popular than Danseparc and why I couldn't find it on Morpheus.
Look at the time it was written.
