Shitty year so far for old school geeks.
When I was a kid, I got from Scholastic Books The Spirit's Ghost Files, "true" ghost stories illustrated by Eisner, with Phantom Stranger like intros by The Spirit. I read that book til it fell apart, and I've got the pieces somewhere...
When I was a kid, my local library had the Kelly Freas art book, the one with the Martian in the keyhole. I must have checked that book out dozens of times.
Damn.
(Oh yeah, I know... a couple of ground breaking politicians died too, plus Jerry Orbach and Artie Shaw. Plus that Tsunami thing. But I'm shallow.)
