Rabbit Hole Day
Jan. 27th, 2005 10:37 pmThe cats in the alley behind my building are stumbling all over the trash cans, giggling. Stupid stoners. I can see them in the building next to mine, getting high off baby's breath.
Not the plant.
Little bastards go and hover over the infant in it's crib. Bowing their heads toward the little mouth, sucking up baby exhale. Ffffffft fffffffft. They do this for a few minutes, stagger out, and play in the alley.
Sometimes it gets ugly.
Last week, they tried to do whippets.
Boy, those dogs can yelp.

Date: 2005-01-28 01:19 pm (UTC)Here's one that I wanted to bounce off you.
A coffeeshop that has one wall in which there are dvd case sized electronic books in slots. They are connected to Wifi servers that send the information of the book you are reading to the unit. You swipe your ID card/ Joe Reader card in the slot and voila the "LivreDok" pops out you turn it on and the last page you were on is there in your hand. electronically on the screen. Imagine any book in the LOC any book ever published in your hand on a bright screen for $20 a year and a $2 reset fee to switch between books maximum of 64 at any given time. Or you could buy blocks of "Espace de bibliotek" for another quid.
Just a thought.
Bonne chance
Mon ami!
