Mar. 4th, 2002 08:54 pmI'm here. I've finally recovered from my cold. Friday wasn't as bad as Thursday, but I did have to get up at 2 am to get ready for the flight.
Cab ride to the airport at 430, there by 5- 2 hrs before takeoff, donchaknow...
Medicated heavily and waiting at the gate... muzak... dear god. A Muzak version of South Central Rain. There was also a version of Roxy Music's "More than This" ... or maybe it was 10,000 Maniacs "More Than This"... Maniac's would have been more deserving to have meen muzakized.
The flights were uneventful. Thankfully. Except for the monkey on the wing. Or maybe it was the fever? Cleveland was nice. The airport at least.
Brian met me at the Buffalo airport shortly after my arrival, which wasnt too bad considering that he'd driven in from work, having gotten off early. What is it with airports and glass and chrome? Why aren't there any wood and brick style airports? All the airports I've seen of late seem to be out of "Logan's Run".
We stopped by a mall in Buffalo. I needed food.... hadn't eaten much in the few days then. Picked up a Gir stuffed doll at Hot Topic. Wow. it really was liked everything I've heard about them.
