I forgot that Warren Ellis had posted one of those grumpy pictures he puts up. This time it was of male genitals used as a pincushion. Pins as in needles.

or even "Oh, Fuck." On Frontline recently, cameras followed the Army's 1-8 Cavalry Regiment in A Company of Soldiers. It's war. They cursed. Frontline broadcast the language intact. It's an powerful program (of course it is... it's Frontline. Even their lite journalism makes Sixty Minutes look like Fox43 News at 10); these soldiers, they're doing this job... and they're younger than me. I mean, I see these guys everyday at the mall, but the impact really doesn't hit you til you see it on television.
That was a joke.
I laugh so that I do not weep. These guys are in life and death situations... and they're so young. That's what I came away with. These brave young men.
It's not a pro-war piece, it's not an anti-war piece- it's just about the soldiers, and well worth watching.
Don't tell me you missed it.
