When I was a kid, channel 13 used to show movies in the afternoon... this was during the pre-Oprah era. Around Halloween, they'd show horror films, and one of the first I saw was The Giant Gila Monster. Back in 1999, MST3k did a number on it... after my somber mood earlier, I needed something light, and MST3k GGM fit the bill. Cheesy 50s Horror. Nature run amok. Plus Joel and the 'bots.
