Dagon Mania!

clayhornikSigh. I turn my back, and the boys got onto the internet. I now have to buy a Michael Dudikoff movie, The Human Sheild, because it's got their new favourite actor. Gil Dagon.
It all started when the boys were checking the IMDB for the movie Dagon to find out just who played Uxia. Her name is Macarena Gomez. Now I've got a pack of amphibious mutant sea monkeys dancing around singing "Hey, Macarena."
Kill me.
But we've decided that Dagon is the second most romantic movie, ever, next to Casablanca- and they've declared it perhaps the most romantic short story ever written by HP Lovecraft. Except the story was The Shadow Over Innsmouth, not Dagon.
They don't seem to understand it's not a romance- the short story, that is. They keep quoting the line: "We shall swim out to that brooding reef in the sea and dive down through black abysses to Cyclopean and many-columned Y'ha-nthlei, and in that lair of the Deep Ones we shall dwell amidst wonder and glory for ever."
Actually, when they say it, they change it to "forever and ever."
And add an "amen."
It's kind of cute, in a creepy sort of way.
