They Live?
Jun. 26th, 2005 12:53 pmfchornik:you ever see the movie "they live" with Roddy Piper & sunglasses?
scott: a long time ago
fchornik:remember how the glasses let you see subliminal messages?
scott: yes
fchornik: ok, libery tax made these (I was on cam, wearing 3-D style paper glass, with polarized lenses) to be given out at harbor fest
scott: hehe
fchornik: i bought a laser pointer today, comes in handy indicating books at a distance, and just fer giggles i shined it through the lenses of the glasses... not while wearing them btw
fchornik: and an image is projected : Liberty Tax.
fchornik: like The Live in reverse or something
scott: hmmm...interestin'
The glasses I was talking about were designed to watch fireworks with. I wonder, is the Liberty Tax logo subtlely visible when watching them? (I don't do fireworks.) There's contact info for Liberty on the frames, phone number etc., so it's OBVIOUSLY advertising. But there's just something creepy thinking about the logo being seen just on the fringe of consicious vision... and the fact that it's owned by an uber conservative doesn't help much.

"Escape From New York" has a great theme.
