I got to check out the first episode of Gatchaman lastnight... It's just a sad redub of old Battle of the Planets episodes. They didn't even get the names right... calling Princess "June." And I miss Casey Kasem's voice.
It's sad the way they're pandering to the new interest in manga and animae by repackaging this classic and making it "darker" and "edgier" for the hip new kids digging the imports.
Bah. Don't mess with my childhood memories, man.
(yes, i realize Gatachaman is the "real thing" and BotP was watered down for American consumption... that doesn't affect the rose coloured tint of my recollections.)

Sorry Clay but Spence is not man enough to let me post this on his lj entry....It looks like you are a monumental "LIER" From the schedule you have just spewed forth here...you didn't really have a job you had to be back for on Monday which is what you told me.... You are a vile thing. You will notice I did not say human being because you are not. You are extremely selfish on top of being a lier. Oh and you made such a point about my funny little smile when you gave me the peck...well do you suppose it could have been the smell of your feet? By your own account you had been up since 3:45am EDT, it was now 5:30pm PDT and didn't even bathe and then you wonder why the funny look. You always say how you believe in karma well bud you have just bought yourself a huge lump of BAD karma. I loved you, I listened to your tiraids all of them....including your bad golf partner Doc, your book and its story line and of course your personal housing arrangement. I really think you like being trod upon by those around you and because I didn't do that to you you couldn't handle it. I want a man who will care for me when I am down and this surgery time was the first and you lied and broke the promise. Someone I will listen to and comfort when he needs it and I have been doing that to you for 5 years. The end not quite because the gods will let you know that what you have done is inhuman and unexceptable.... Go into the night Spence because that is where you belong with your sick self....all by yourself.
