Holy Crap moment. Was channel surfing tonight and Volcano was one. Usually one of my favourite movies. But watching the flames and the smoke and the soot and the firemen and the policemen... it was like watching the "the shits hit the fan show on CNN" all over again. Thank god for Anne Heche and Tommy Lee Jones and their "Bringing Up Baby" banter.
Fuck. (pardon) I *swore* I was never going to let post 9-11 jitters get to me. But I don't think I can finishing watching it. The blowing up of a building, with some police officers dying, Dammit. I mean when you see shit like the 9.11 destruction, poor Irwina Allen and all his inheritors are pretty much shit out of luck, how the hell do you beat it?
..
I had to watch it. God damned Orpheus shit. The tower collapse at the end, the dust cloud. At least in the movie, there's a happy ending...

DeathrideRULER- I never cried for 9.11, I never even felt anything when it happened... Everyone else cried and was so shaken, but me... I watched the building fall into a dark cloud of dust and no emotion phased my expression... I had been to New York about a month or so before 9.11, I remember seeing the buildings, I even have pictures, we were going to go to the top, but the buildings sway and we thought it would take too much time. I kind of regret not going to the top... I don't understand why I am so disconnected with my emotions when something having to do with death comes about, such as; pets, family, and things like 9.11. Oh well, I guess I shall never know...
