So much for going to bed early last night. I picked up Judgment of Tears by Kim Newman yesterday. I read it last night. I liked the original title better (Dracula Cha Cha Cha). The premise: La Dolce Vita meets Bram Stoker's Dracula. Rome, 1950's - nightlife has a whole new meaning. Lots of fun...

Was in bed by midnight though. Fell asleep to the NPR program "Music from the Hearts of Space. New age ear candy.

Woke up this morning to NPR, there was an article on Buster Brown. I gave my friend q. heck for an abundance of hyperlinks in her blog. I felt this was necessary, I mean, who remembers Buster Brown? Actually, my dad does. "My name's Buster Brown, I live in a shoe; my dog's name is Tige, he lives there too" was one of those phrases he'd drop when I was a kid, like "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows...". The context was completely lost on us, but it was something he said, and that in itself made it special.

Infomercials have started. Time to start getting ready for bed. remind's me of the good ol' days in THE HOUSE - we always knew it was bedtime when BBC overnight started to broadcast on the local NPR affiliate.

I wonder- in the real world does "getting ready for bed" = "put in a dvd"? I mean, it was Mulholland Drive. that should count for something.
--
It did. four minutes into the movie and I've yawned twice. Three times. At this rate, by time it's over, I'll be catatonic.

Still wondering what to get my mom for mom's day. Found a Faberge egg for only $250. I wonder if she reads my journal...
