I'm starting book six of the Tribes Novels this morning, I should have it finished before I go to bed tonight. Hopefully book seven will arrive in today's post.
Reading these books, there's a whole voccabulary to remember, Werewolf words, and there's the whole "mythology" thing going on.
The werewolves are servants of Gaia, and are charged with keeping things running. The problem is entropy in the form of the Wyrm, chaos - The Wyld, and order- The Weaver. The concepts and their names are all coming back to me as I read the series.
Why is it that I can remember crap like this but I can't seem to manage to learn a real, actual, spoken foreign language?

It'll be over soon enough and I can go back to my cozy little world of nonfiction.
A fellow came in the store looking for a book on the 1938 Hurricane. I asked him if Katherine Hepburn was in it. He looked at me funny and said, yeah she was. It was The Sudden Storm.
We were out.
Before he left, I told him I had read the book too.

Technically most of that stuff comes from an actual spoken language!

So you're doing all right!
