Aug. 30th, 2006 01:14 amLast night the kids and I gathered in the comfy chair and listened to Robert Chambers "The Yellow Sign" that I found on Librivox a while back. It was a good listen, but a much more effective read.
You know, with all the good short stories going on out there- like Brian Keene's The King, In Yellow- I surprised there isn't more audio stuff going on.
Or maybe there is and I'm just missing it somehow.
That's always a chance.

One of my coworkers doesn't know who Bruce Campbell is. And it's not the one you'd imagine. Cassi knows what the Horta is.
She's started to frighten me.
Nope, not her.
It's the fellow who asked me if I'd see Barbershop.
I asked him if he'd seen Annie Hall.
Oddly enough, it was the same answer on both sides.

Q is in Florida. Looks like the storm has quieted down, down there.
Thunder storm here tonight.
Glorious walk home in the rain.

The Times of London has discovered Gangsta Lit. There's something about imaging a BBC voice reading the sentence:
The basketball-playing and rapping narrator "prolly shoulda been resting at the crib on the night before a big game", but instead hangs with his "niggahs" in strip joints planning the next cold-blooded murder.

Looking at my calendar. I've posted a post pretty much every day this month... including a retro-active place holder on the fourth since 1) the post everyday thing wasn't planned and 2) it's my blog and I make my rules.
September, however- NO retro posts. Post everyday.
I'm thinking of asking NPD about doing a ride along.
Is that crazy?

Cops is still season one. Again, long version of the song. More look into the lives of the officers- including bits about a pair of officers who are married.
