Ok, this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of: A lender website that'll lend to any "U.S. resident with a bank account and a social security number." You give them this information and they'll do a "credit check" you... This sounds fishier than a roe farm.
Sigh. I've gotten my first piece of Spam at my alt e-mail, for something called Prosper.
Maybe I'm cynical, but the whole "people to people lending" over the internet sounds... dodgey.
Anything solicited through email the way this was sounds dodgey- I googled the female who emailed me and she's all out there pushing this thing. Other bloggers have gotten hit by her as well.
I'm not sure if she's not a bot though... I'm just kind of pissed- I don't use this email except for a few people and my LJ stuff... and in my LJ profile it's set to discourage bots ...hmmm. So, it would have had to have been typed in, I guess. I'm hating this person more, the more I think about it.

Humbug.

Double humbug- the antispam spaces that show up in the rough draft fromat of my post disppear as soon as I post it to my journal- so I'm taking it out, just to be "safe".
