Sep. 2nd, 2007 09:18 amMy mom just said the most amazing thing.
She's seen Gone With The Wind thirteen times in the theater.
Thirteen.
I mean, yes, I've seen bunches of movies multiple times on video. But I don't think I've seen anything more than... say five times in the theater. Maybe I've seen Star Wars more than that.
I know I saw Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss three times, and The Last Days of Disco five times.
But thirteen times.
Thirteen.
It's funny because we were talking about GWTW last night, specifically the intermission. She didn't remember the intermission and since I'd seen it in the most recent re-release late last century, it was still (relatively) fresh in my mind.
And now it's on TNT. We were channel surfing and she caught it at the moment the intermission started. Of course, they skipped the intermission for the broadcast.
The thing that impressed me when I saw it was the fact that the score for the movie included an overture for the intermission and that played through.

The GWTW thing is another reason why I wish my mom would blog some more.
