On Ion, formerly Pax, they're showing a made for tv movie, The Fire Next Time.
Hurricane. Gulf Coast. An ineffectual goverment.
I had to change the channel to something insipid like Big Brother, because for all the movie's made-for-tv flaws, it's oddly prescient- it's a 1993 movie set in 2017, but a *now* 2017 kind of thing.
So, I'm watching the creepy guy with his daughter gloating because they're the final two in the Big Brother house, so either way they win.
Amazingly, the Ion affiliate in New Orleans is showing the movie...

Actually, the Pussy Cat Dolls tv show is even better than Big Brother. It's a massive car crash and I can't look away.
