clayhornikNatalia and ummmm Dimitri are in town this weekend. Drinks at Kincaids last night, then we watched The Resturant at Basil at the Madison... or what ever it's called this week. They had dinner while I just had tea. Still working on the 175 diet. The waitress was... nice, but as Natalia and Dimitri work in resturants, they weren't impressed by nice. They did find The Resturant funnier than I did though.

Haven't touched the laptop for anything other than surfing. Have had to re-conceptualize one of my writing projects... not workable, for me at least, as a standard story, but works nicely comic book style. Now all I have to do is learn to draw.

Think tomorrow I'm going to work on book reviews. I read three books last week and have good things to say about all of them. Won't be as much fun as saying negative things about them.

Heard an ugly rumour the The Eye might be dubbed for release, in the wake of The Ring. Pray to the god of subtitles, everyone...
Naro Video has Bollywood/Hollywood as an import. My membership lapsed and I couldn't re-up since they put a freeze on fifty dollars in checking accounts when you join or renew. As it's rent time, there's no way I could have that on my account, even tho it's just a temporary freeze.
Nearly got into an argument at the video store last night with someone who considered "Freddy Got Fingered" worth watching more than one (five times apparently). There were some kids there looking for a scary movie and he suggested "Candyman." I suggested "The Thing". He suggested "Candyman." I suggested "The Beyond." I suggested "Susperia". He suggested "Candyman". I suggested "Candyman" and left with Dimitri and Natalia.
