Jan. 8th, 2008 09:58 pmThe other night P & I were watching a re-run of CSI where they discuss coffees, specifically Kopi Luwak coffee. The cat crap coffee. The $30 a pound cat crap coffee.
P was... amazed. I had to reassure him that yes, this was real.
A while back, I was watching Numb3rs and one of the clues was a explosive device triggered by a self heating coffee container. It sounded plausable to me, but I hadn't encountered such a thing til last night.
We were at W-Mart getting popsicles and I saw the package. It's a chemical reaction using quicklime. We got the Hot Cocoa. I'll post an update after we actually open the package.

Waiting for the bus tonight #1257 went past with "Emergency! Call 911" showing in the destination window. So I did. When I got on my bus, I was talking to 911. Another person at the stop told the driver what was going on. The driver asked me if I was calling the dispatcher. I told her no, I was calling Emergency. She sighed, because apparently it's a problem specific to that bus. Lovely. Stupid HRT.
