Thrifting tonight I came upon a book about quitting smoking.  It had some... interesting ideas.
Granted it was from 87, I think.
The one idea that really stuck out as I was skimming was to add MSG to your food- apparently MSG would make the cigarettes taste bitter.
Well:
1)Maybe it was the cloves but I ate craploads of Chinese food and it never bothered me.
and
2)Let's raise your blood pressure under the guise of stopping smoking.  Of course, you could say that the book was written in an era when MSG wasn't a bad thing.
Of course once upon a time, neither were cigarettes.

I no longer need cigarettes.  I WANT them.
But just like a Skippy-fiend with a peanut allergy, I will resisit.

I saw an ad for some medication that helps ex-smokers deal with the cravings for nicotine but I say if you're doing fine without aid from any other sources I'd just stick with it!
