Jan. 19th, 2008 01:39 pmCarol Alt and Bruce Boxleitner versus computer generated killer fish. What's not to love.
Watched Snakehead Terror on the sci-fi channel today.
Bad. Bad. Bad.
It's pretty much Joe Dante's Piranha updated, thought better than the actual Piranha remake. (Yes, the remake was that bad.)
Boxleitner plays the sheriff/single-dad while Alt is the local girl gone away/scientist sent to look into the problem of the giant killer fish. There's four marks on the checklist there. I love nature gone wrong/killer animal movies.
Snakeheads, the monsters of the title, are amphibious fish that aren't native to North America,
The follow up was something called "It Waits", written by RIchard Christian Matheson and Stephen Cannell, both of whom should have known better. Ancient Indian curse. Angst ridden public servant. I really do need to come up with "Horror Cliche Bingo."
I'm watching Queen of the Damned now. Um... It's pretty. I think that's all I can say about it.
