Aug. 14th, 2003 11:48 pmI'm still reading TED Klein's stuff. Today it's his novel- still odd to think of an author with only one novel. He's like the Salinger of Horror. When I was reading "Dark Gods" the other day, I was impressed at how well they've stood the test of time. As a matter of fact, the only thing that dated them, to me, was their references to the blackouts. Why, those things don't happen anymore in NYC. Of course not...

I'm getting stodgey in my old age. I tried to watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. I lasted about twenty minutes. Without a Trace is much more my speed these days. Looking forward to the CSI dvds getting here soon.

PZB and CRK's old sites are down, as is Gothic.Net. I'm going to miss Gothic.Net, tho CRK has a new site www.caitlinrkiernan.com . Not sure if I like the new look, but then, she didn't ask me, did she? It's a great picture, I was just really used to the old site. Maybe it's just the Southern Gothicy picture that was there. But change goes with growth. Which is why it'll be fun to read Five of Cups.

PZB's site is still down, but she's established a temporary phorum in the Quiet Room . I need to change my ummm parameters for that, because every time someone posts something there, I get an email. So, if it's busy, I get a full in box.

I'm sorry to see Gothic.Net go. I'd actually subscribed, so I didn't get a year's worth this year. Actually, if you break down the pluses, it more than than paid for its self. But the Spookycon site is down now. Not sure I'm going so it's not as bad for me as it could be. Wouldn't mind going, it's just a question of $$. Want to go back to Chinatown to say the least.

Want to find a recent picture of TED Klein on the net. There's one in Dark Gods, but it's like fifteen years old- at least.
