Waiting for Isabel 2
Sep. 17th, 2003 05:53 pmTook some pix, will provide the link later. Downtown deserted. Mall empty. Perfect day, tho, blue skies, green green trees.
I'm not one to give credence to signs and portants but...
enroute to the mall, a young bird, a cardinal or a robin, was on the sidewalk. A jogger had stopped to make sure it was ok, he even stroked it's back. We discussed what to do with it, weither or not it had fallen from a nest or something when it took off. It was just odd that the bird would allow a person to touch it.
Coming home I saw what appeared to be a squirrel carrying another squirrel in it's teeth. A lady walking a dog saw it too, and she was glad I was there to reality check her, because, well, it looked wrong. You know that "wrong" that's just... *wrong*.
--
While at the mall picked up Endless Nights and April Fools Day on DVD. Hope the power holds out for the movie. For the book, there are always candles.
--
It's started raining and the winds are picking up. Going out to look, take some more pictures.
