clayhornikThis weekend P found for a friend a pair of Blackamoor figures.
"What did you say?" I asked when he told me what he'd bought.
"Blackamoors," he said.
It wasn't like I didn't know the word, just the context was a little off for me.
He showed me the figures. They looked something like this thing I found online:
"So, these things are like... fancy, PC lawnjockeys for rich people?" I asked.
"Well, yeah" he said.
"What did you say?" I asked when he told me what he'd bought.
"Blackamoors," he said.
It wasn't like I didn't know the word, just the context was a little off for me.
He showed me the figures. They looked something like this thing I found online:
