I can't find my Mummy.
Well, The Mummy on dvd, that is.
It's somewhere around here.
Since I have the Legacy Collection, I've got all the Kharis Mummy adventures, and somewhere I've got the (blasphemy) Stephen Sommers version.

But Karloff is so darn sympathetic as Imhotep.  And Zita Johann is like the leadingest leading ladies of the Universal run, not counting Elsa of course.
It'll turn up eventually

I picked up Abbot & Costello Meet The Mummy.  It's not the worst Mummy movie out there, but it is an Abbot and Costello movie... Classical funny, but not the Marx Brothers.

Sometimes I wonder how long I could go without watching a movie that was filmed in colour.

The Mummy is one of my favourites of the Universal horror flicks. More of a supernatural love story than a horror movie, but it's a very very good supernatural love story. And no-one did the sympathetic monster thing better than Karloff. He's not underrated among horror fans, but among movie fans in general he's criminally underrated as an actor.
