Feb. 15th, 2009 09:50 pmStill kind of clogged.
This weekend was a whirlwind trip to Raleigh and the fleamarkets there-in.
The Cary fleamarket- at the fairgrounds- was cool, and with dogs a plenty in their canine friendly glory.
I want a dog.
Then we found another flea market that wasn't like anything P had ever seen.
Apparently, Raleigh has a sizable Latino population. This flea market catered to them- as evidenced in the shops geared toward Quinceañera supplies.
Like really ornate gowns. And scepters.
The Raleigh area markets are better than anything in the Tidewater area and the produce at either market puts the stuff at the Norfolk Farmer's Market to shame.
--
We found a new drive in- this one active!
The marquee had a listing for The Pink Panther 2 and the Mall Cop movie.
I'll post a picture tomorrow.
--
The problem with all this traveling is that I'm exposed to lots of stuff that I'd not been exposed to here.
I keep thinking "Wow, this is neat, Norfolk doesn't have that... Norfolk sucks."
I don't like thinking Norfolk sucks, but... it kind of does.
I can qualify this later... but the old architecture of Roanoke and Staunton makes Norfolk look... shabby.
