Feb. 20th, 2009 10:13 pmPhil Collins'' In the Air Tonight is less effective at 1030am than it is at 1130pm when driving down the interstate.
100.7 the River, however is pretty good- BOC, jaCKSON BROWENE, zEPPLIN. In fact their motto is something about the music you first heard on 8 Tracks and cassette.
Still amazed at Stairway- guitar in left channel, flute in right channel... stereo rawks. Hearing it on the car's system is just wow. And the guitar part... yeah.
Again, would have been more impressive at night, on the road.
But you can't always get what you want.

Listening some more to 100.7 Why is it that music from my childhood is great night music?

At the Hotel, watching What Not To Wear on TLC. I recognize the foyer of the building... it's Downtown Norfolk. I think. Then I see she's at "It's Just Lunch," a lunch dating service. Yep, it's Norfolk. In one shot, I see the Starbucks across the street from where I work. In another, I see the Wisconson.
Kind of nifty- like... places on tv are either far away or fictional (even real places- see any of my comments about NCIS) and when I see home on tv, it makes home fictional.
I like living in a fictional place.
