Aug. 1st, 2009 09:40 pmI picked up one of these today. A vintage Pyrex perculator coffee pot. The handle, the lid, the basket, and the pump stem are all pyrex.
Even the HANDLE. It's like something out of a Hugo Gernsbeck sci-fi story.

There's a little chip off the base of the stem, but aside from that, and needing a lot of cleaning,
it's in excellent shape.
Time to start SERIOUSLY drinking coffee.
Future coffee. Like they'd drink in Frank Lloyd Wright's Johnson Wax Building.

Now, I know these cups are retro. As is the Pyrex. But there's something delightfully ... futurist about them.
Says the guy living in a 1910s building and cooking with a gas stove.
