Since moving to Front Royal, I've learned more about stink bugs than I'd like.
First: There's a lot of them. The counterguy at McDonald's today said they seem to be the worst he's seen - but he's only been in the region for two years.
Two: They're everywhere. They're here in Front Royal as well as Hagerstown and Boonsboro, both over an hour away, and points in-between.
Three: They can FLY. I did not know this and it...startled me. I did not make a girly scream upon discovering this; no- it was a bold, masculine scream.
Four: They're kind of dim, when you grab them, they just sit there til flushed away (here's hoping landlord co isn't monitoring water usage because the first thing we do when we get home is to get genocidal on them down the toilet.)
Five: They can withstand winds up to 59 mph. Because the one that was on the passenger side window today held on til we hit 60. I know because I was watching the gps when it "flew" off.
Last: I've really learned to hate them.

I used to live in an old, old building in downtown Norfolk and there would occasionally be the odd cockroach waterbug. Now, there's a well socialized insect. If you keep a clean apartment, they're hardly a problem. When you turn on the lights, they make a point to get out of your line of sight.

I think stink bugs could learn a thing or two from the cockroaches
