Children's brains are actively affected by reading. Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it sounds kind of like, well, an upgrade. Brains 1.0, read enough, Brains 2.0 or even better. Now... couple reading with smartz enhancers like piracetam or vasopressin... you're bio-hacking the wet-ware.

i think its more like installing the right driver for that particular machine. after that, the machine finally "gets it" and writes itself the rest of the way. the bad reader had impediments to teh positronic flow. the good eader had laid down heavy pathways to ease the flow, giving pleasure. i blush to admit what the math people had done to their brains at a critical age.
