I've seen several references to LJ on facebook recently. I think FB has become difficult for people lately, the snark and political anger in bite sized FB posts, and I think people want to get back to more thoughtful expressions, things that need more than a couple of sentences. LJ allows more in depth development ot ideas, something a little more sustantial than "So-and-so sucks!".

I think that FB has become terrilbly enmeshed in the virtual world, but I think it's possible to reclaim a little ground outside of Zuckerberg Land. Starting now.
