Jul. 11th, 2004 03:22 amWhat a week.
Tuesday I went to dinner with my parents, as planned, at a local Indian resturant, Raput. We started the meal with an order of eggplant pakora and pappad, and for the main course it was chicken. Mother got curry, dad got madras, and I got saag, each of us trying a bit of the others dish, verdict was saag was best. They got rice pudding for dessert, while I got gulab jamun- pastry balls served in a honey syrup, some of which my dad added to his rice pudding.
The whole experience was nice, especially since it was the first time EVER I've taken them out to dinner. A real, sit down dinner with waiters, that is... Chinese buffet doesn't count, even with the congee.
--
When we got home after dinner, the news was on- there was a fire less than two hundred yards from my apt. DAMMIT. Why, oh, WHY do these things happen when I'm not there?
--
The rest of the week was pretty much covered in an earlier entry- sniffle, cough, & Cops.
Much better now tho.
