Jul. 27th, 2004 12:37 amI just finished six days straight. That's 43+ hours. No overtime, because it stretched over two pay periods. Righ now, I really, really hate my job: Thursday I put in for my time off for Spookycon, and asked if I could make my airline arrangements; I was told to wait, to make sure everything would be all right. So I waited, four days, and I asked again today. This bothered the boss; apparently three months isn't enough lead time.
Last night, after work, we kidnapped A. and too her to Wallmart... Vanhelsing figues are only three dollars. I picked up Frankenstein's Monster, and late night watched the original James Whale movies. Frankie was quite happy with the new figure and the double feature. Tonight, I'm watching the follow up movies, Son of, House of, Ghost of... Gil is making grumpy noises, and Mr Bones just wants to watch Final Destination over and over again.
--
I want one of those static globes. That will make Frankie very, very happy.
--
There's been some writing done on "the project," getting into a good rythmn with it. It involves hockey and Celine Dion import albums- in French. Won't say more, don't want to curse it.
--
Despite all the crap at work, there is one bright point: I got an ARC from a small press. I'll mention more tomorrow, after I've gotten into it. Tonight belongs to Frankie.
--
One last thing- old ghosts are coming out of the woodwork, left and right... coworkers, classmates, old friends from Prince, and even one of the old group from the cafe. Where's it all headed?
