clayhornikI've been enjoying the Olympics so far, tho I miss listening to CBC, the netfeed down due to IOC restrictions; this'll be a thing of the past soonish, big picture wise- I read in USAToday about how they'll probably set up streaming feeds for comeptitions that have minimal following. That'll be nifty- remember kids- tomorrow's poular streaming video programs are being gamma and beta tested right now, on porn sites.
"Hows version 2.3 working?"
"Well, there's good news and bad news..."
(Sigh) "What now?"
"There's a glitch in the feed, somewhere, so the video feeds for, like nintey percent of the clip and gets snagged toward the end."
"So what's the good news?"
"It happens when Misti's saying "YES!" so... um, it's like she's saying "YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!".
"... and this is good how?"
"We're charging a buck ninety-five a minute for it... we had one guy watch it for like ten minutes."
"But the clip's only three minutes long."
"Exactly."

The thing that bothers me is that one channel has the monopoly on the tv coverage, and they never come near covering all the events... only the main ones. Okay, so maybe I'm weird for sometimes enjoying the odd events, or stuff that's popular in many places outside of the US, but sometimes it's frustrating that the only time you get a glimpse of something more obscure (fencing, judo...) is when there's actually an American in surprise medal contention, or some controversy arises (horseriding).
